Rex Ray

Caught a doc on artist/designer Rex Ray on PBS last night (produced by a Denverite so might have been local-only). Interesting story mostly for his practical approach to making and selling art. His hybrid fine art/graphic design style is just as at home in galleries as it is on take home work to be sold in gallery gift shops. Smart. Aired on the last day of his solo show at the MCA Denver.

Nice looking post – I’ve been a fan of RR for years. I like him and forgive him for creating the album artwork for a few Joe Satriani albums, nobody’s perfect.
