Off the Hanger: Travel Fishing

At least one of the MAWOI employees (ahem . . .) manages to get out a few times a year to far off lands to do a bit of fishing. Wether its Ontario or Aruba I usually take about 80% of the same gear.

Watch: Timex Easy Reader with NATO strap. I’ve been eyeing these for months now and seeing one in action finally makes me think it’s a solid solution for that inexpensive travel watch.
Shirt: Brooks Brothers Slim Fit Madras Sport.
Shell: Penfield 35th Anniversary Pacjac.
Podcast: Itinerant Angler.
Reel: Orvis Battenkill Mid Arbor. Very classic look, machined aluminum, suited for fresh or salt and affordable enough to take a couple just in case a shark takes your kit down to the bottom.
Belt: Military Web.
Pants: Garbstore Peasant Chino.
Dry Bag: Simms Dry Creek Camera Bag.
Croakies: Cotton Suiters.
Pack: Simms Headwaters Tech Pack. Detach the front and stash it in your luggage, makes a great carry-on/daypack.
Line System: Orvis Multi-Tip Spey.
Shades: Polarized Aviators.
Rod: Temple Fork TiCr X with two handed conversion kit. Really great idea, breaks down short enough to carry on the plane and basically gives you two rods in one.
Shoes: Palladium Pampas Oxford.
Camera: Canon s90.
Bag: Patagonia Lightweight Travel Duffel.
