Rex Ray
Caught a doc on artist/designer Rex Ray on PBS last night (produced by a Denverite so might have been local-only). Interesting story mostly for his practical approach to making and selling art. His hybrid fine art/graphic design style is just as at home in galleries as it is on take home work to be sold [...]

Jason Hoelscher
Out walking with 1/2 of DoubleButter today and he pointed out this guys work in a gallery. Big, bright, and generally just interesting. Kind of graphic design or icon-like, but I think they go past that.
Now showing at the Rule Gallery.

Patrick Kikut
Found this painter who is now working at my alma mater, while trying to figure out how UW talked David Carson into signing up for duty. Nutty. At any rate, this kind of imagery really embodies what I like most about Wyoming. Its not only the beautiful landscape and wide open spaces, its the bits [...]

Tom Killion Woodcuts
Califronia based printmaker featured on the Craft in America series. Always amazing to me how fresh and modern an image can look coming from such an old process (really helps to have talent like he does as well).
Duck Stamps
I wish now I’d saved all the stamps I’ve purchased over the years, it’s a great govt. idea and some fun art comes out of the process (think Norm Gunderson in Fargo). All from the Federal Duck Stamp site. Ok I promise, no more ducks.
Federal Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamps, commonly known as “Duck [...]
