I’ve been eyeing these for months now and seeing one in action finally makes me think it’s a solid solution for that inexpensive travel watch.
Very classic look, machined aluminum, suited for fresh or salt and affordable enough to take a couple just in case a shark takes your kit down to the bottom.

I am looking for an amazing person who is honest, considerate and excited to be a jack-of-all-trades. Someone to fix fence, make a gate that opens without always buying a new powder river one, repair old barns and sheds in a manner in keeping with their character, understand how water flows through a ditch and across a meadow; run a tractor or a skid steer, chain saw, shovel, backhoe, four-wheeler; how to look under the hood to see if there is oil, battery, radiator and wires or if there is air in the tires; someone who just likes being busy and doesn’t mind working alone; someone with common sense and the sense to work safely; someone who understands that all life on a ranch is not depicted in a Marlboro commercial; someone who likes working in an environment that takes pride in maintaining room at the table for everything that calls the ranch home, such as beaver, cougar, bear, red angus cattle, eagles, blue herons, churro sheep, trout, ancient cottonwoods, sage, willow and cedar, mule deer, coyotes, dung beetles, hummingbirds, and pigmy owls along with an assortment of chickens, ducks, turkeys, peafowl, snakes, voles, and an old apple orchard that desperately needs a bit ( an understatement) of pruning so we can make cider again and endless apple pies. I am looking for a magic person who is as patient with an old cow that can’t see the wide-open gate right in front of her as they are with the pick-up that decided not start this morning of all mornings; and who appreciates animals as well as himself and his tools; a person that doesn’t mind an occasional day in the saddle.

Local obsession of mine, finally got a tour to take some pics this past week. Good people, good feed.

Ranch-Way Feeds is an animal feed manufacturer and distributor for the Rocky Mountain Region. Ranch-Way Feeds is located in historic downtown Fort Collins, Colorado and is distributed in Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and West Texas.

Ranch-Way Feeds is Fort Collins’ Oldest Industry”, a mill that has been operating on this site since 1868 along the Poudre River in historic downtown Fort Collins. Originally the Lindell Mill processed local wheat into flour which was sold under several names including Defiance, Jack Frost, Snow Trader, Snowflake and Pride of Colorado. Water from the Poudre River was diverted to the mill for energy and power.

In 1885, Colorado Milling and Elevator Company acquired the mill and began operating as the Fort Collins Flour Mills. By 1919, electric motor power replaced water power to continue flour production into the 1940’s. Flour milling was discontinued at this site in 1948, and replaced with manufacturing of livestock feed. Ranch-Way Feeds has been locally owned and operated since 1968 focusing on bulk commercial feed, wholesale bagged feed and specialty products. Ranch-Way Feeds is known for specialized feeds for animals such as dairy cows, cattle, horses, rabbits, swine, sheep, poultry, deer, elk, zebras, worms, household pets and many animals at the local zoos.

Many modifications have been made to the historic mill to ensure that Ranch-Way Feeds continues to be a major supplier to the agriculture industry. A state of the art computerized batching system, two adaptable pellet mills, a high-tech mixer, an efficient blocking facility and a computerized packaging and palletizing machine make Ranch-Way Feeds a leader in the animal feed industry.

Ranch-Way Feeds is a leader in the community, supporting youth 4-H programs, the Poudre River clean-up project, the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Collins Downtown Business Association. Ranch-Way Feeds is an integral sponsor of “The Ranch”, the Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Center, maintaining the naming rights to the Ranch-Way Feeds Livestock Pavilions and Horse Arena.

Quality ingredients lend to quality products. Ranch-Way Feeds utilizes ingredients of the highest quality that exceed industry standards. Quality products, customer service and regional presence are the core of Ranch-Way Feeds and we are committed to maintaining our position as a leader in the animal feed industry for the Rocky Mountain Region.
