Off the Hanger: Travel Fishing

At least one of the MAWOI employees (ahem . . .) manages to get out a few times a year to far off lands to do a bit of fishing. Wether its Ontario or Aruba I usually take about 80% of the same gear. Watch: Timex Easy Reader with NATO strap. I’ve been eyeing these [...]

Camping ARB Style

Just in case you might need to camp, elevated, in the middle of Africa (which is probably the best way to camp in Africa). ARB rooftop tent.

On the Road: Sayulita

One half of MAWOI has been on the road, driving and camping his way, from Colorado to Sayulita and back for the past few weeks. He’s been keeping me abreast of all developments. Cop bribe? Check. Thunder stomach? Check. Weeks of hammock time on the beach? Check. The majority of the time recently has been [...]

Spring fever with Riveria Clothing

It’s got me thinking about sun, warmth, surfboards and easy shirts. Riveria Clothing looks to fit the bill, some nice details it seems [...]

Off the Hanger: Gaucho

Somehow I need to translate bits and pieces of this look into my every day kit. I’m always up for any sort of cowboy influence and I think the Gaucho look is probably about as honed as it gets. Belts on belts on belts, scarves on ponchos and most importantly, lots of big knives. Fun [...]

F1 Flight Travel Accessories

From our NYC transplant, Pattison: This store (Flight 001) has a few locations in the US including one very close to where I used to live in Brooklyn. I would often stop by to take a look around before I left on a trip somewhere out of town. They have everything travel related for sale [...]

Escape to Joshua Tree

Found this house available for rent on a nice site called airbnb that is similar to VRBO but in a much nicer web site package. It offers some really unique properties – night in a castle anyone? including this black modern gem near Joshua Tree.
