Cricket Trailer

Even before reading the backstory about the Cricket Trailer I was thinking to myself, that looks like how NASA would camp. Good stuff. The no-nonsense interiors are a nice departure from the standard fake oak fiberboard eyesores.

Creep Clothing

Creep Clothing

It’s been a while since I’ve looked at Creep stuff. I had forgotten about it until I pulled a shirt out for summer. It’s a strange shirt – clearly designer Kiyofumi Awai has no problems mixing patterns, textures or materials – but it seems to go over well when I wear it. These few picts from their Spring/Summer lookbook.

Etsy Gold: Hoof & Antler

Recently I picked up a great vintage Levi’s shirt from Hoof & Antler. When I opened the envelope, there was a fabulous little hand written note and the shirt was wrapped in tissue with a black silk ribbon. Job. Well. Done. I was so impressed I pinged them to find out a little more:

Basically we’ve had a vast love for all things vintage and for years have spent a ridiculous amount of our free time digging around in thrift stores, flea markets, etc. After coming to terns with the fact that our small apartment was filled to the brim we realized that we could turn our obsession into a side job. (We’re not hoarders I promise.) H&A officially opened on 4/10/11 and we’ve been having a blast! We’ve found it very rewarding seeing others enjoy those unique vintage items that we unearthed over the years. Have a vast love of coffee, cheese, puppies, cookies, old maps & globes, men’s western shirts, antique books, dinosaurs, gaudy artwork, and vintage dresses.

Thanks again, and happy thrifting.

Love these “photos” from Alain Delorme. Around the Mawoi cooler we talk a lot about how things are made, where they’re made, and what that all means so the subject matter here connects and, beyond that, they’re just cool. If anyone is in Paris, feel free to pick one up for me! Found via And Then She Was (thanks!)

Fishing Report: Belize

Belize Fishing Belize Fishing Belize FishingBelize FishingBelize Fishing Belize Fishing

Slinging bait in the mangroves is always a welcome departure from my normal western fly fishing. After about an hour and a half of hunting down our fish food, Armando (who commercial fished for lobsters for 20 years and almost died 3x) took us on a great ride around the island, stopping at his favorite spots for a bit of casting. I’m always amazed by the diversity of species caught wile salt water fishing, you just never know what’s going to show up on the end of your line.
